The Alpecin-Deceuninck 2025 Pro Issue W&W RainMem Thermal Bib Shorts are specialist foul weather race shorts developed for the miserable conditions professional riders regularly encounter through the Spring Classics and cold, wet training months.
Made using Kalas' advanced RainMem X3 insulated membrane fabric, these are a huge step beyond conventional race bib shorts. The 270 g/m² material combines thermal insulation with wind resistance, serious water resistance and excellent breathability, helping protect the thighs and core from cold rain, road spray and biting winds.
RainMem X3 carries an impressive 10,000 mm water column rating while maintaining breathability of 11,000 g/m²/24h. That balance is critical for professional cycling, where keeping rain out is only half the challenge. The fabric also needs to allow the enormous amount of heat and moisture generated during hard racing to escape.
The bib section uses Roubaix fabric straps with a warm brushed inner surface, adding extra insulation around the torso and helping make these an outstanding choice for long rides in cold and changeable weather.
At the heart of the shorts is Kalas' premium Endurance 3D pad, developed in collaboration with world renowned cycling pad specialists Elastic Interface. Designed for long and demanding rides, it provides exceptional protection and comfort when you're spending hours in the saddle.
Combine them with W&W RainMem knee or leg warmers and you have an incredibly versatile foul weather setup that provides much of the protection of winter tights while still allowing layers to be removed if conditions improve.

RainMem is a genuine technical membrane rather than simply a standard pair of bib shorts with a light water repellent treatment.
With a 10,000 mm water column, the fabric provides serious resistance against persistent rain and road spray, while its excellent breathability allows heat and perspiration to escape during hard efforts.
For racing in cold rain, that combination makes an enormous difference.

Kalas developed the Endurance 3D pad in collaboration with Elastic Interface, one of the world's leading specialists in professional cycling chamois technology.

Pair these shorts with the matching W&W RainMem Knee Warmers or Leg Warmers for a complete foul weather lower body system.

Absolutely awesome fit perfect
Some great products again by the guys at ProKit club. I received my order about a week after placing it. Which is pretty good considering I'm in the UK. The kit is great quality and in its original packaging, I've never seen these socks and they will look great with the rest of my kit. I had one issue where I was sent the wrong socks but after an email, it was quickly rectified and the correct item is on the way to me.
